Role Description The Cricket Coach role at SZCA is a contract position in a hybrid setup, based in Delhi, India, with some work-from-home responsibilities such as planning sessions, reviewing performance data, and preparing training materials. On-site, the coach will conduct daily practice sessions, provide individual and group coaching, supervise drills, and oversee match preparation and game simulations. The coach will design training plans, assess players’ technical and tactical skills, and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. Responsibilities also include monitoring fitness levels, promoting injury prevention, maintaining discipline and safety standards, and communicating regularly with players and, where relevant, their families about progress. The coach may assist with talent identification, organizing camps or tournaments, and contributing to the academy’s overall coaching framework and documentation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Cricket Coaching and a solid understanding of Cricket techniques, rules, and strategies.
Candidates should possess effective Communication skills for guiding players, providing feedback, and coordinating with academy staff.
Candidates should possess Coaching and Training skills to design practice sessions, build player confidence, and support skill development.
Relevant coaching certifications from recognized cricket or sports bodies are highly beneficial.
Experience coaching youth or amateur cricketers in academy or club environments is preferred.
Ability to create structured training plans, analyze performance, and use basic digital tools for reporting and session planning.
Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory coaching practices.
Availability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends, based on training and match schedules.
