Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Ranchi for a CNC VMC Operator and Setter. The role involves setting up CNC VMC machines, selecting and installing tools, loading programs, and preparing fixtures according to job requirements. The CNC VMC Operator and Setter will operate the machines to produce components, monitor machining parameters, and make minor adjustments to maintain accuracy. Daily tasks include inspecting parts for quality, maintaining equipment cleanliness, performing basic preventive maintenance, and documenting production data. The role also requires following safety procedures, coordinating with supervisors and quality teams, and supporting continuous improvement in machining processes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Machine Operation and Machinery handling for CNC VMC equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Machining and Milling for precision component manufacturing.
Candidates should possess skills in Quality Control to inspect parts, measure dimensions, and ensure adherence to specifications.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, CNC programs, and basic measurement tools (e.g., vernier calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Prior experience as a CNC VMC operator/setter or similar machining role is highly beneficial.
Understanding of safety standards and willingness to follow safe work practices in a workshop environment.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
A relevant technical qualification or vocational training in mechanical, machining, or production engineering is an advantage.
