The Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Effectiveness Manager to lead initiatives that improve sales productivity, process efficiency, sales capability, pipeline quality, forecasting accuracy, customer engagement, and revenue performance.
The ideal candidate will combine commercial expertise, analytics, process improvement, technology, and sales enablement to identify performance gaps and implement scalable solutions that help sales teams work more effectively and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales-effectiveness strategies aligned with commercial and organizational objectives.
Assess sales performance, processes, capabilities, tools, structures, and ways of working to identify improvement opportunities.
Develop sales-effectiveness frameworks, standards, methodologies, and governance processes.
Analyze sales productivity across teams, markets, territories, channels, products, and customer segments.
Identify performance gaps and develop targeted improvement plans.
Evaluate sales organization structures, territory coverage, account allocation, spans of responsibility, and resource deployment.
Support territory design, sales capacity planning, account segmentation, and sales-resource allocation.
Develop and maintain sales segmentation and prioritization frameworks.
Improve sales coverage models to ensure appropriate focus on high-value opportunities and customers.
Review sales processes from lead generation through qualification, opportunity management, proposal, negotiation, closing, onboarding, and account development.
Identify process bottlenecks, unnecessary administrative activities, duplication, and opportunities for simplification.
Standardize sales processes, workflows, playbooks, templates, and operating procedures.
Establish clear sales-stage definitions, qualification criteria, activity standards, and exit requirements.
Improve pipeline management, opportunity qualification, conversion, and sales-cycle performance.
Develop frameworks for pipeline health, coverage, aging, velocity, and quality.
Analyze win rates, conversion rates, deal sizes, sales cycles, loss reasons, and customer acquisition trends.
Partner with Sales Leadership to improve pipeline generation, opportunity progression, and forecast reliability.
Develop sales forecasting methodologies, reporting standards, and governance processes.
Monitor forecast accuracy and identify drivers of forecast variance.
Establish sales performance dashboards covering revenue, pipeline, productivity, conversion, activity, and customer metrics.
Develop standardized sales KPIs and ensure consistent definitions and measurement across the organization.
Analyze sales performance by representative, team, region, channel, product, customer segment, and market.
Identify high-performing practices and develop approaches for scaling successful sales behaviors.
Support sales compensation and incentive analysis in partnership with Finance and Human Resources.
Evaluate incentive structures for alignment with commercial priorities and desired sales behaviors.
Support sales quota-setting and target allocation processes using relevant performance and market data.
Conduct sales capacity and productivity analysis to support workforce planning.
Develop sales productivity benchmarks and performance standards.
Identify opportunities to improve time allocation between selling, administration, customer management, and internal activities.
Partner with Sales Enablement and Human Resources to identify capability gaps and training requirements.
Develop sales competency frameworks, role expectations, and capability-development priorities.
Support onboarding programs, sales training, coaching frameworks, and continuous learning initiatives.
Develop sales playbooks, talk tracks, objection-handling frameworks, account-planning tools, and best-practice resources.
Partner with Marketing to improve lead management, lead qualification, campaign handoffs, and sales-marketing alignment.
Improve lead-to-opportunity conversion and handoff processes.
Partner with Customer Success and Account Management teams to improve retention, expansion, cross-selling, and customer lifecycle management.
Support key-account planning and strategic customer management processes.
Evaluate CRM adoption, data quality, sales-process compliance, and system utilization.
Partner with Technology and Business Intelligence teams to improve CRM functionality, automation, reporting, and analytics.
Identify opportunities to automate sales administration, reporting, approvals, and routine activities.
Evaluate AI-enabled sales tools, predictive analytics, automation, and digital sales technologies.
Establish CRM governance standards covering data quality, opportunity management, customer records, activities, and reporting.
Monitor sales-process adoption and identify areas requiring coaching or intervention.
Conduct regular sales-effectiveness reviews with sales leaders and functional stakeholders.
Develop business cases for sales-process, technology, capability, and organizational improvements.
Measure the financial and commercial impact of sales-effectiveness initiatives.
Manage sales-effectiveness projects from assessment and design through implementation and stabilization.
Coordinate external consultants, technology providers, sales-enablement partners, and specialist vendors where required.
Develop project plans, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and success measures.
Track implementation progress and ensure agreed improvements are adopted by sales teams.
Identify change-management requirements and support adoption of new sales processes, tools, and operating models.
Provide senior leadership with recommendations on sales productivity, process optimization, capability, and commercial performance.

Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have strong experience in sales effectiveness, sales operations, commercial strategy, revenue operations, business performance, sales enablement, management consulting, or commercial transformation, preferably within a complex international organization.
The candidate should demonstrate:
