Role Description The Vice President of Engineering is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading NeoForm’s engineering function in support of its digital finance solutions and technology-enabled services. This role oversees the design, development, and delivery of software products and platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business and client needs. The Vice President of Engineering provides strategic direction to engineering teams, sets technical standards, and collaborates closely with product, finance, and operations stakeholders to prioritize initiatives and manage project execution. Daily responsibilities include guiding engineering managers and teams, reviewing architecture and code quality, refining processes, and driving continuous improvement in productivity and innovation. The role also includes budgeting and resource planning for engineering, vendor and tool selection, risk management, and mentoring talent to build a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture.
Qualifications
Strong Engineering Management experience, including building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations and setting technical direction.
Demonstrated Team Leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire distributed engineering teams in a remote environment.
Hands-on or deep oversight experience in Software Development across modern architectures, cloud platforms, and AI-enabled or data-driven solutions.
Proven Project Management capabilities, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and on-time delivery of complex technology initiatives.
Background in Product Development, partnering with product and business leaders to define roadmaps, translate requirements, and deliver customer-centric solutions.
Experience in fintech, financial services, or enterprise SaaS is highly beneficial, especially in digital finance, automation, or analytics products.
Ability to operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
