Role Description The VP of Strategic Finance is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading financial planning and analysis to support key strategic initiatives at Codex Partners and its clients. This role involves developing and maintaining long-range financial models, evaluating business performance, and providing executive-level recommendations on capital allocation, investments, and growth opportunities. The VP will oversee the preparation and interpretation of financial statements and reporting packages, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and alignment with strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with cross-functional teams, challenging assumptions, identifying risks and opportunities, and translating complex financial data into clear insights for senior leadership. The role also includes mentoring finance team members, improving financial processes, and implementing tools that enhance forecasting, reporting, and decision-making.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance expertise, including experience in strategic finance, corporate finance, or investment analysis.
Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning and Financial Reporting, with a track record of building forecasts, budgets, and dashboards.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Financial Statements, including analysis of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, model scenarios, and present clear recommendations.
Relevant qualifications include several years of senior-level finance or FP&A experience, preferably in advisory, consulting, or high-growth environments.
Additional beneficial qualifications include experience leading remote teams, strong communication and stakeholder management skills, and proficiency with modern financial modeling and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms).
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required; an MBA, CFA, or similar advanced credential is preferred.
