About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
This is a role for someone who wants real ownership — not just executing tasks, but driving the marketing strategy and results for a portfolio of client accounts, hands-on across every channel: email, paid ads, website updates, and social media, content creation, scheduling, and community engagement included. You'll lead client calls and run day-to-day strategy independently, with the CEO staying close on the big calls — onboarding, major strategy shifts, initial strategy, ad budget, and big client problems. You are the person clients call, and the person who makes sure the work gets done.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Strategy
Lead the marketing strategy for each assigned client account, spanning social, email, paid ads, and web — working with the CEO on large strategy shifts and initial strategy.
Build content calendars and campaign plans.
Present strategy, results, and recommendations directly to clients in monthly and quarterly calls — independently, without the CEO present.
Identify growth opportunities and recommend new channels, campaigns, or budget shifts.
Partner with the CEO on onboarding and any large client problems.
Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts.
Manage client communications, approvals, edits, and delivery timelines professionally.
Resolve day-to-day client issues and escalations; celebrate wins and address concerns proactively.
Monitor account health status (Green/Yellow/Red) and drive improvement or retention plans for Yellow and Red accounts.
Coordinate cross-functionally with the Social Media Manger/Strategist and any designers or contractors to keep deliverables on track.
Marketing Operations
Own social media end-to-end: strategy, content calendar, day-to-day content creation, scheduling, and community engagement, plus client-facing reporting. You proofread your own work before it goes out, and a second team member does a standard QA check before it's sent for client approval. Large strategy changes and initial strategy review go through the CEO.
Own email marketing end-to-end: build, send, segment, and test campaigns, plus reporting, with large strategy changes and initial strategy review going through the CEO.
Own paid advertising end-to-end — strategy, execution, and optimization — across digital (social, search), local, and print as appropriate for each client, plus reporting. Large strategy changes, initial strategy review, and ad budget planning go through the CEO.
Own website updates end-to-end, from routine content edits to larger changes as needed. Full new website builds and net-new strategy creation go through the CEO.
Own community management: daily monitoring, engagement, and escalations, with community strategy creation going through the CEO.
Ensure brand consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
Performance & Reporting
Track and report KPIs monthly, both to clients and internally.
Drive 10% monthly growth in social media engagement and followers.
Drive 10% monthly growth in email subscribers and maintain a 5% click-through rate.
Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of strategies, campaign changes, and client communications.
Prepare for and lead Quarterly Review meetings with the CEO.
