Role Description The Technical Writing Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for leading the creation, review, and maintenance of technical documentation for training programs, software tools, and internal processes. This role oversees a team of writers, assigns projects, and ensures documentation standards, style guides, and templates are consistently followed. Day-to-day tasks include planning documentation projects, editing and approving technical content, coordinating with instructors and subject matter experts, and organizing documentation repositories. The Technical Writing Manager also develops best practices for technical communication, gathers feedback from learners and staff, and continuously improves manuals, guides, and learning materials to support clear, accurate, and user-friendly information.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Technical Writing and Technical Documentation.
Candidates should possess skills in Technical Communication and Documentation for training and educational materials.
Candidates should possess experience creating and maintaining Manuals and user guides.
Experience managing or leading a documentation or writing team, including planning workloads and setting quality standards.
Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, accessible content for diverse audiences.
Strong editing, proofreading, and quality assurance skills with attention to detail and consistency.
Comfort working remotely, using collaboration tools, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in training, education, or computer/IT environments is beneficial.
