Role Description The Regional Area Manager is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the performance and operations of multiple gas station locations within an assigned region. This position monitors daily site operations, ensures adherence to safety and compliance standards, and supports store leadership in meeting sales and customer service goals. The Regional Area Manager reviews financial and operational reports, identifies trends, and implements action plans to improve profitability and efficiency. The role includes regular communication with station managers, coordination of training and development, and collaboration with head office on marketing initiatives, inventory management, and capital projects. The Regional Area Manager also conducts virtual and periodic in-person visits to sites as needed to maintain brand standards and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance oversight, and team development.
Experience in multi-site operations management, preferably in retail, fuel, or convenience store environments.
Proficiency in analyzing financial and operational data, budgeting, and implementing cost-control measures.
Knowledge of safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards relevant to fuel retail operations.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders.
Comfort with remote work tools, including virtual meeting platforms, shared systems, and digital reporting tools.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to prioritize and manage multiple locations.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the assigned region when required.
Previous experience in regional management or area leadership roles is an asset.
Post-secondary education in business, management, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
