Role Description The (Director of Financial Management) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the financial health and strategic financial direction of Homebrew Studios. This position manages budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning to support the studio’s growth in events, filmed content, and new creative ventures. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, preparing financial reports for leadership, and ensuring accurate and timely financial record-keeping. The role also involves developing financial policies, optimizing resource allocation, supporting investment decisions, and collaborating with leadership to align financial strategies with creative and operational goals.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Finance and Financial Planning, with the ability to develop and manage budgets and long-term financial strategies.
Hands-on experience with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and compliance with relevant standards.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Proficiency with financial software and tools, and familiarity with remote collaboration platforms.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is an advantage.
Proven experience in financial leadership or management roles, preferably within media, entertainment, or creative industries.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Demonstrated integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
