Role Description The Director of Asset Management is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s asset portfolio, including financial and property-related resources, to support Youth Capital Foundation’s long-term sustainability and mission. This role involves developing and implementing asset management strategies, setting investment policies aligned with nonprofit objectives, and monitoring performance against financial and impact targets. The Director will manage relationships with financial institutions, advisors, and property managers, ensure compliance with relevant regulations and internal controls, and prepare regular reports for leadership and board stakeholders. Day-to-day work includes analyzing market trends, assessing risk, optimizing asset allocation, and collaborating with internal teams on budgeting and resource planning. The role also contributes to strategic initiatives, such as evaluating new funding opportunities, supporting program expansion, and enhancing financial resilience.
Qualifications
Strong Asset Management and Property Management skills to oversee and optimize the organization’s financial and physical resources.
Solid Finance and Investments expertise to develop strategies, manage portfolios, and align asset decisions with nonprofit goals.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess risk, forecast performance, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Demonstrated experience in nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, with an understanding of compliance, governance, and stewardship of funds.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, CPM, or similar) are a plus.
Proficiency with financial modeling, asset management tools, and standard office software; comfort working in a fully remote environment.
Excellent communication and presentation abilities to report to leadership, collaborate with partners, and explain complex concepts clearly.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and uphold ethical standards.
