Role Description The Fashion Merchandiser at HAIR RAP BY YOYO will be responsible for curating and presenting fashion and hair-related products, accessories, and looks that align with the salon’s creative vision and brand identity. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves analyzing trends, client preferences, and sales data to select and organize merchandise that enhances the overall salon experience. Day-to-day tasks include planning product assortments, coordinating visual displays, collaborating with stylists on look concepts, and ensuring that retail and promotional materials reflect current fashion and hair trends. The Fashion Merchandiser will work closely with the salon team to support brand storytelling, seasonal campaigns, and client-focused styling recommendations. The role also includes monitoring inventory, maintaining product presentation standards, and contributing ideas to elevate the salon’s profile as a fashion-forward destination.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in fashion merchandising, styling, and trend analysis, with the ability to translate fashion and hair trends into cohesive product selections.
Experience in visual merchandising, display planning, and retail presentation within fashion, beauty, or salon environments.
Skills in basic data analysis, inventory tracking, and sales monitoring to support efficient merchandise planning and replenishment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with stylists, management, and suppliers, and to advise clients on fashion and styling choices.
Knowledge of current fashion, hair, and beauty trends, with a creative eye for color, texture, and silhouette that fits the HAIR RAP BY YOYO brand.
Ability to work on-site full time in Ahmedabad, manage multiple tasks, and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced, client-centric environment.
Relevant education in fashion merchandising, design, retail management, or a related field is preferred; practical experience in fashion or salon retail is highly valued.
Comfort with basic digital tools for cataloging products, creating simple mood boards or lookbooks, and supporting social media or promotional content as needed.
