Vice President of Supply Chain
Position Overview
The Vice President of Supply Chain is responsible for the company's overall supply chain strategic planning, system development, and operational management. The role encompasses supplier management, procurement management, production planning, inventory management, logistics and warehousing, supply chain cost control, quality management, delivery management, and international supply chain operations.
The Vice President of Supply Chain ensures the efficient, stable, and flexible operation of the supply chain system; continuously optimizes supplier and procurement frameworks; enhances production and delivery efficiency; reduces operational costs and risks; ensures products are delivered to customers on time and in the correct quality and quantity; and strengthens the company's supply chain competitiveness in the global jewelry market.
Core Responsibilities
I. Supply Chain Strategy and Business Management
Formulate the company's medium- to long-term supply chain strategy and development plan;
Establish and optimize the company's overall supply chain management system;
Translate corporate strategic goals into specific supply chain plans and execution strategies;
Optimize the supply chain organizational structure, operating models, and regional footprint;
Establish coordination mechanisms across procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and delivery;
Ensure the continuous, stable, and efficient operation of all supply chain segments;
Continuously refine the global supply chain system to meet business growth and international market expansion needs.
II. Procurement and Supplier Management
Formulate the company's overall procurement strategy and management system;
Build and maintain a network of core suppliers, strategic suppliers, and long-term partners;
Manage the procurement of key raw materials, jewelry materials, packaging, and related products;
Optimize mechanisms for supplier sourcing, evaluation, certification, performance assessment, and phase-out;
Lead commercial negotiations, contract management, and strategic partnerships with key suppliers;
Optimize procurement costs, lead times, and the supplier base structure;
Establish mechanisms for supplier risk management and supply assurance;
Continuously improve supplier quality, delivery capabilities, and cost competitiveness.
III. Production Planning and Operations Management
Establish and optimize the coordination system between production planning and the supply chain;
Formulate production and supply plans based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and market demand;
Coordinate resource allocation among procurement, production, and sales functions;
Optimize production scheduling, capacity utilization, and order delivery efficiency;
Monitor the execution of production plans and key delivery performance indicators;
Promptly resolve supply chain issues such as capacity constraints, production delays, and raw material shortages;
Drive continuous optimization of production processes to enhance overall operational efficiency;
Ensure the on-schedule delivery of products for key customers, strategic projects, and major orders. IV. Inventory, Logistics, and Delivery Management
Establish a scientific inventory management and control system;
Optimize the inventory structure for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods;
Develop management mechanisms for inventory turnover, accuracy, and safety stock levels;
Mitigate risks associated with excess inventory, stockouts, and supply disruptions;
Manage warehousing, logistics, and international transportation systems;
Optimize domestic and international logistics networks and transportation solutions;
Improve order fulfillment rates, on-time delivery rates, and logistics efficiency;
Continuously reduce warehousing, transportation, and overall fulfillment costs.
V. Supply Chain Cost and Performance Management
Establish a supply chain cost management system and cost optimization mechanism;
Analyze costs related to procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and fulfillment;
Set annual, quarterly, and monthly supply chain performance targets;
Establish a system of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the supply chain;
Continuously optimize procurement pricing, production efficiency, inventory turnover, and logistics costs;
Analyze supply chain operational data and formulate improvement plans;
Enhance overall supply chain efficiency, cost control capabilities, and profitability;
Drive the digitalization and data-driven management of the supply chain.
VI. Cross-functional Collaboration and Business Support
Coordinate across departments such as Sales, Marketing, Product, Procurement, Production, Warehousing, Logistics, Customer Service, and Finance;
Establish efficient cross-functional supply chain collaboration mechanisms;
Ensure supply chain plans align with corporate sales, product, and business strategies;
Continuously optimize supply chain resource allocation based on market demand and customer orders;
Support supply chain development for new products, new markets, and international business;
Provide supply chain support for key customers, major projects, and significant business initiatives;
Facilitate information sharing and collaborative management across sales forecasting, procurement, production, inventory, and delivery.
VII. Supply Chain Risk and Compliance Management
Identify potential risks in supplier relations, procurement, production, inventory, logistics, and international transportation;
Establish early warning systems and emergency management mechanisms for supply chain risks;
Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions, supplier defaults, logistics delays, and raw material shortages;
Implement mechanisms for supplier diversification and the security of critical material supplies;
Ensure procurement, supplier partnerships, and supply chain operations comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards;
Strengthen supplier contracts, procurement processes, and internal supply chain controls;
Enhance the stability, resilience, and operational continuity of the global supply chain system. Job Requirements
20–25 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, operations, production, logistics, or related fields;
8+ years of senior management experience (Director level or above);
Experience in supply chain management within large enterprises or multinational corporations;
Familiarity with supply chain models in the jewelry, luxury goods, retail, or manufacturing sectors is preferred;
Experience in international supply chains, global procurement, cross-border logistics, or global operations management is preferred;
Extensive network of resources regarding suppliers, procurement, production, and logistics;
Exceptional capabilities in supply chain strategic planning, procurement management, operations management, and cost control;
Outstanding skills in data analysis, business judgment, supply chain risk management, and decision-making;
Strong leadership, negotiation, supplier management, and cross-functional collaboration skills;
Proven ability to drive supply chain digitalization, process optimization, and organizational transformation.
