Role Description The Master Technician will work full time on-site at the Bhopal facility, supporting hydropower equipment manufacturing, assembly, installation, and maintenance. Daily tasks include diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. The role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings, coordinating with engineers and supervisors, and documenting work performed in service and maintenance reports. The Master Technician will also guide junior technicians, support quality control activities, and help optimize processes to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Qualifications
Strong hands-on technical skills in mechanical and/or electrical systems, including troubleshooting, assembly, and maintenance of industrial or power equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions, and apply them accurately in day-to-day tasks.
Experience working with tools, instruments, and test equipment used in installation, alignment, inspection, and repair of heavy machinery.
Solid understanding of safety practices, workplace safety regulations, and quality standards within manufacturing or power plant environments.
Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and peers, and provide guidance to junior technicians.
Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, or similar); prior experience in hydropower or heavy industry is an advantage.
Willingness to work on-site in Bhopal, occasionally travel to project sites if required, and adapt to shift or project-based schedules.
