We are hiting Senior Metallurgical & Mechanical Testing Engineer for a higher-level role:
Metallurgy & Metal Testing Technical Manager
Required Technical Knowledge
Candidate should have deep practical knowledge of:
* Chemical composition analysis – OES/PMI, alloy identification
* Ferrous & non-ferrous alloys – steel, SS, cast iron, aluminium, copper, brass, etc.
* Tensile testing – UTM, yield strength, UTS, elongation
* Hardness testing – Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers, Micro-Vickers
* Impact testing – Charpy/Izod
* Bend, compression and shear testing
* Fatigue testing – preferably
* Metallography – sample cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing and etching
* Microstructure examination – optical microscopy
* Grain-size determination
* Inclusion rating
* Decarburization/case-depth measurement
* Coating/plating thickness
* Fractography/failure examination
* Heat-treatment evaluation
* Weld/joint metallurgical examination
* Corrosion testing, including salt spray where applicable
* Interpretation of material test certificates (MTC) and chemical/mechanical properties
