About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Computer Systems Analyst to join our dynamic IT department at University Health. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and supporting our complex computer systems used across financial, clinical, and administrative functions. This position involves providing technical expertise, project management, and strategic guidance to ensure the seamless operation and enhancement of our IT infrastructure. The analyst will coordinate major system tasks, oversee programming activities, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet organizational goals.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Processing, Mathematics, Business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education. A minimum of six years of programming and system analysis experience is required, demonstrating a strong background in managing complex IT projects. Proficiency in at least one computer programming language and familiarity with data management methodologies across various platforms used at University Health is essential. Candidates should have working knowledge of languages such as SQL, .NET, VB, and C#, along with experience in managing databases using current versions of MS SQL Server. Familiarity with software tools including MS SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, SSRS, and MS Office is required. A solid understanding of Windows operating systems is also necessary to effectively support our systems environment.
Responsibilities
As a Computer Systems Analyst at University Health, your responsibilities will include:
Providing expert technical guidance and support for the development, implementation, and maintenance of computer systems used across various departments.
Organizing and scheduling complex system tasks, including programming, testing, and deployment, ensuring timely completion and adherence to organizational policies.
Collaborating with clinical, administrative, and financial teams to understand system requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Performing system analysis to identify areas for improvement, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions to optimize system performance.
Managing and supporting database systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and efficient data management practices.
Participating in project planning, resource allocation, and documentation to facilitate successful project delivery.
Staying current with emerging technology trends and recommending upgrades or new solutions to enhance system capabilities.
Providing training and technical support to end-users to maximize system utilization and efficiency.
Ensuring compliance with all organizational policies, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
