Accounts & Finance Manager

Active Solar House is a family-run solar installation business, operating since 2003. We handle residential, commercial arnment solar subsidies and loan applications, making solar adoption more affordable and accessible.
Role Description The Accounts & Finance Manager will oversee day-to-day financial operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management. The role includes preparing monthly and annual financial statements, budgeting, cost tracking for solar projects, and supporting management with financial analysis and reports. The manager will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory filings, while coordinating with external auditors, banks, and financial institutions. Responsibilities also include monitoring project-wise profitability, managing vendor and customer payments, and improving financial processes and controls. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bharuch, working closely with the founders and operations team to support sustainable business growth.
Qualifications
Strong accounting and bookkeeping skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Financial planning and analysis capabilities, covering budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and project-wise profitability tracking.
Knowledge of taxation and compliance, including GST, TDS, statutory filings, and coordination with auditors and regulatory bodies.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel, including use of spreadsheets, financial models, and reporting tools.
Relevant academic background such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional qualifications (CA/ICWA/MBA Finance) are an advantage.
Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with structured processes and deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with operations, sales, vendors, and financial institutions.
Experience in small or medium-sized businesses, preferably in solar, renewables, construction, or engineering services, is beneficial.
