Role Description The Chief Planning Officer is a full-time remote role responsible for leading strategic and operational planning across CLSSBE’s educational programs and organizational initiatives. This role oversees the design and coordination of webinars, workshops, research activities, and community learning projects to align with the society’s mission and growth goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing long-term plans, setting measurable objectives, analyzing program performance data, and recommending improvements to enhance reach and impact. The Chief Planning Officer collaborates with leadership, academic partners, and internal teams to prioritize projects, manage timelines, and ensure efficient resource allocation. The role also involves preparing planning reports and proposals, supporting grant and partnership opportunities, and maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
Strong planning and project planning skills to design, organize, and optimize educational and organizational initiatives.
Robust analytical skills to interpret data, assess program performance, and support evidence-based decision-making.
Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication with internal teams and external partners.
Relevant experience in planning domains such as educational planning or urban planning, with the ability to apply structured planning methods to diverse projects.
Prior experience in strategy, program management, or operations within education, non-profit, or social impact organizations is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across virtual teams.
Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving abilities.
Graduate degree in planning, education management, public policy, management, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
