Role Description This part-time, remote volunteer opportunity for a community admin focuses on supporting and growing Space Career Foundation’s online community. Day-to-day responsibilities include moderating discussion forums and chat channels, welcoming new members, and ensuring community guidelines are followed in a fair and consistent manner. The community admin will help organize virtual events, share relevant announcements and resources, and coordinate with other volunteers to maintain an engaging and safe space. This role also involves responding to member questions, gathering feedback on community needs, and suggesting improvements to enhance member experience and participation.
Qualifications
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear writing and confident, respectful online interaction.
Experience or interest in community management, moderation, or online group administration.
Comfort with digital collaboration tools and social platforms (e.g., Slack/Discord, forums, video conferencing tools).
Ability to stay organized, manage time independently, and follow through on tasks in a remote environment.
Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity, professionalism, and supportive engagement with diverse community members.
Enthusiasm for aerospace, STEM education, or career development; prior involvement in related communities is a plus.
Previous volunteer experience or experience in student organizations, clubs, or non-profits is beneficial.
