About the Role
We are seeking candidates with strong business systems analysis capability and a minimum of 3 years of experience in the card payments field.
The Business Systems Analyst – Client Delivery is a client-facing delivery role focused on business analysis and solution implementation. Working as part of cross-functional teams alongside product, technical, and quality assurance stakeholders, the successful candidate will own the solution lifecycle from requirements gathering through configuration, implementation and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
In this role, you will work directly with end clients to capture, analyze, and document complex business requirements. You will coordinate change requests, oversee configuration and release readiness, design high-level test scenarios, and represent the end user during the UAT phase to ensure quality delivery aligned with client specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
Requirements Analysis & Solution Design
Gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements, user stories, use cases, and technical design specifications for change requests and system enhancements.
Act as a functional reference point and subject matter expert, assisting technical teams with use case definition and database design concepts.
Provide product setup and system configuration based on documented business and functional requirements.
Client Relationship & Delivery Management
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key client stakeholders throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
Act as the primary functional point of contact for clients regarding ongoing deliverables, implementation projects, and change/service requests.
Facilitate client-facing and internal meetings to align delivery schedules with business objectives.
Drive project delivery timelines and release schedules in accordance with agreed client SLAs.
Quality Assurance & Testing Coordination
Create functional design documents and high-level test cases to support regression and functional test suite generation.
Review detailed test cases with the QA team to confirm alignment with end-user requirements.
Represent end users during the UAT phase, actively supporting client testing, resolving functional queries, and driving timely release sign-offs.
Work closely with Delivery, Technical, and QA teams to validate system behavior prior to formal deployment.
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
Lead knowledge transfer initiatives across cross-functional teams during requirements handovers.
Mentor and provide functional leadership to other team members where applicable.
Identify process efficiency opportunities to enhance delivery speed, documentation standards, and implementation quality.
Working hours and location
Adapt to shifting work hours where required: initially working Malta working hours during the induction and training phase, and transitioning to client working hours once the training phase is passed.
Work primarily onsite at the client's premises to support ongoing operations and maintain close collaboration with client stakeholders.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business & Computing, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Software Development, or a related ICT field.
Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Card Payments and Payment Processing.
Functional Expertise: Extensive hands-on experience in end-to-end business requirements gathering, use case mapping, functional design, and system configuration.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in SQL database querying. Experience with delivery tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar management tools.
Testing & Quality Oversight: Strong track record in UAT facilitation, test design oversight, and user acceptance sign-off.
Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional written and oral communication skills in English, with proven capability to lead face-to-face and remote client sessions.
Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving aptitude, excellent documentation skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities under project deadlines.
Must be able to accommodate changing shift patterns: initially aligned with Malta working hours, transitioning to client time zone in the same region.
Availability and willingness to work onsite at the client's premises on a full-time basis.
