Role Description The Disaster and Climate Risk Systems Engineer is a remote, contract role responsible for joining a small team in designing, implementing, and maintaining software that supports personal risk assessment through continuity planning simulations.

Qualifications
Familiarity with business continuity, disaster recovery, or resilience planning frameworks
Ability to take accountability and communicate in clear and organized ways
Experience with AI prompting and system design
Skilled in auditing and refining AI-generated output to ensure logical and scientific accuracy
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physical science, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prefered
Prior experience in a risk-based environment
Previous development of software tools for physical risk assessment
Student/Early Career
Compensation: Part-Time, $20-30/hr
