Role Description The Automobile Engineering Trainee will support the engineering team in day-to-day activities related to vehicle and equipment maintenance, performance monitoring, and basic diagnostics at the plant. Responsibilities include assisting in routine inspections of plant vehicles, documenting maintenance activities, learning to interpret technical drawings and manuals, and supporting senior engineers in minor repairs and troubleshooting. The trainee will also help track spare parts usage, maintain logs, and follow safety protocols and quality standards in all tasks. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, requiring consistent presence at the facility and active participation in hands-on training.
Qualifications
Foundational knowledge of automobile engineering principles, including vehicle systems, basic mechanics, and maintenance processes.
Ability to read and understand technical documentation, engineering drawings, and equipment manuals.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for identifying issues in vehicles and plant equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, technicians, and supervisors.
Attention to detail and commitment to following safety procedures, quality standards, and plant regulations.
Diploma or bachelor’s degree (ongoing or completed) in Automobile Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
Willingness to work on-site in Mumbai and adapt to a plant-based environment, including shift-based work if required.
Interest in renewable energy and willingness to learn about integrating automotive systems within a solar plant context.
