Role Description The Associate Finance Manager role is a full-time, remote position responsible for supporting financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities. In this role, the individual monitors budgets, reviews variances, and prepares periodic management reports and dashboards. The position involves assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and coordination with internal stakeholders. The Associate Finance Manager helps maintain compliance with internal controls and relevant financial policies, supports audits, and contributes to process improvements in financial operations. The role also collaborates with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong skills in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with the ability to analyze variances and trends.
Proficiency in financial reporting, including preparation of management reports, dashboards, and documentation for audits.
Hands-on experience with accounting processes such as reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
Comfort with financial tools and software (e.g., spreadsheets, ERP or accounting systems) and solid numerical aptitude.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a remote work environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate integrity and professional judgment.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA, MBA in Finance) are an advantage.
