Position Title: Director of Corporate Communications
Position Summary:
The Director of Corporate Communications is responsible for developing and executing the company's corporate communications strategy to strengthen brand reputation, enhance stakeholder engagement, and support business growth. This leadership role oversees internal communications, external communications, executive communications, media relations, public relations, crisis communications, and corporate messaging. The Director of Corporate Communications works closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure consistent, transparent, and impactful communications across the organization.
Key ResponsibilitiesCorporate Communications Strategy
Develop and implement corporate communications strategies that align with the company's mission, vision, and long-term business objectives.
Establish communication standards, messaging frameworks, and brand guidelines across all business functions.
Ensure consistent corporate messaging across internal and external communication channels.
Support executive leadership in communicating strategic priorities and organizational initiatives.
Executive Communications
Develop executive speeches, presentations, leadership announcements, and corporate messaging.
Prepare communication materials for executive meetings, town halls, and industry events.
Support executive thought leadership through articles, interviews, keynote speeches, and public appearances.
Advise senior leadership on communication strategies and stakeholder engagement.
Internal Communications
Lead internal communication programs that promote employee engagement, transparency, and organizational alignment.
Develop company-wide announcements, newsletters, intranet content, and employee communication campaigns.
Support change management initiatives through effective communication planning.
Foster a strong corporate culture by enhancing communication across departments and global offices.
External Communications & Media Relations
Build and maintain strong relationships with media organizations, journalists, and industry influencers.
Develop press releases, media statements, corporate announcements, and communication materials.
Coordinate media interviews, press conferences, and public events.
Monitor media coverage and identify opportunities to strengthen the company's public profile.
Crisis Communications & Reputation Management
Develop crisis communication plans and response protocols.
Lead communication efforts during operational disruptions, regulatory matters, cybersecurity incidents, or other sensitive situations.
Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Human Resources, and executive leadership during crisis events.
Monitor public sentiment and implement proactive reputation management strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement
Develop communication strategies for customers, investors, business partners, government agencies, and industry organizations.
Support communications related to product launches, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), and corporate initiatives.
Partner with Marketing, Investor Relations, Human Resources, Legal, and Product teams to ensure messaging consistency.
Represent the communications function in cross-functional business initiatives.
Leadership & Organizational Development
Lead, mentor, and develop corporate communications professionals and external agency partners.
Manage departmental budgets, communication vendors, and agency relationships.
Establish communication KPIs and evaluate campaign effectiveness using measurable performance metrics.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
8+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, public relations, media relations, or executive communications.
Proven success managing enterprise communication strategies and reputation management programs.
Strong expertise in internal communications, executive communications, media relations, and crisis management.
Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong leadership, organizational, and project management capabilities.
Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, blockchain, financial services, SaaS, technology, or multinational organizations.
Knowledge of ESG communications, corporate governance, sustainability reporting, and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Experience supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A), organizational transformation, or global expansion initiatives.
Familiarity with digital communications, social media management, content management systems (CMS), and media monitoring platforms.
Strong analytical skills with experience measuring communication effectiveness through KPIs and analytics.
International communications experience and multilingual capabilities are highly desirable.
