I. Position Overview
The Vice President of Global Partnerships is responsible for planning, expanding, and managing the company's global strategic partnership ecosystem. This role involves identifying and establishing long-term partnerships with international enterprises, strategic investors, technology partners, channel partners, and other key institutions.
The position entails formulating global partnership strategies, translating business objectives into concrete partnership opportunities, and driving the entire partnership lifecycle—from initial outreach, business negotiation, and contract signing to project implementation and ongoing operations.
Additionally, the role requires coordinating across sales, marketing, product, operations, legal, finance, and international business teams to drive the implementation of cross-regional partnership projects, thereby supporting the company's business growth, market expansion, and international development.
II. Key Responsibilities
1. Global Partnership Strategy
Formulate the company's global strategic partnership roadmap and annual partnership objectives.
Identify key areas for collaboration and target markets aligned with the company's business strategy.
Establish mechanisms for the screening, evaluation, and management of global partners.
Analyze international markets and industry trends to identify potential partnership opportunities.
Provide strategic recommendations regarding global partnerships to senior management.
2. Strategic Partner Development
Proactively develop relationships with international enterprises, institutions, and technology or commercial partners.
Establish and maintain high-value strategic partnerships.
Evaluate potential partners based on business capabilities, market resources, and strategic alignment.
Build a long-term partner network and collaborative ecosystem.
Drive the deepening and expansion of key partnerships.
3. Business Collaboration and Negotiation
Lead business negotiations and the design of partnership proposals for major projects.
Negotiate business models, scope of cooperation, resource allocation, and commercial terms with partners.
Coordinate with legal, finance, and relevant teams to finalize contract reviews and execution.
Manage the implementation of partnership agreements and adherence to key commercial terms.
Safeguard the company's commercial interests and long-term relationships during negotiations.
4. Partnership Project Implementation
Drive the transition of global partnership projects from the signing stage to actual execution.
Define project objectives, timelines, and execution plans.
Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress, costs, business outcomes, and risks.
Promptly resolve critical issues arising during project implementation.
5. Global Market Expansion
Identify new international market opportunities in line with the company's business development plan.
Support the company's entry into new countries, regions, and business sectors.
Establish networks of local partners, channels, and commercial resources.
Evaluate business environments and partnership models across different markets. Translate international cooperation resources into tangible business opportunities.
6. Partner Operations and Performance Management
Establish a global partner lifecycle management system.
Conduct regular business evaluations and performance analyses of partners.
Track partnership revenue, project volume, customer conversion, and business contribution.
Optimize partner resource allocation and partnership models.
Drive the adjustment or optimization of underperforming partnerships.
7. Cross-departmental and Cross-regional Coordination
Coordinate with sales, marketing, product, operations, technical, finance, and legal teams.
Facilitate collaboration between teams across different countries and regions.
Establish communication and reporting mechanisms for global partnership projects.
Resolve resource and process issues arising during cross-regional business execution.
Ensure global partnership strategies align with regional business objectives.
8. Partnership Risk Management
Identify commercial, financial, compliance, and operational risks in international partnerships.
Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to conduct partner due diligence.
Establish mechanisms for partner risk assessment and monitoring.
Develop risk mitigation plans for major partnership projects.
Report significant partnership risks to senior management in a timely manner.
9. Team Leadership and Organizational Development
Lead the global partnerships and strategic alliances team.
Define team objectives, performance indicators, and business development plans.
Cultivate talent in international business development and partner management.
Optimize team structure based on the company's international expansion needs.
Build a professional and internationalized partnership operations system.
III. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Management, International Business, Marketing, Strategic Management, Finance, or a related field.
Over 20 years of experience in strategic partnerships, business development, corporate development, or related areas.
8–15+ years of experience in senior management and international partnerships.
Proven experience in developing and managing large-scale strategic partnerships.
Familiarity with business negotiations, partnership model design, and contract management processes.
Competence in international market expansion and cross-cultural business communication.
Strong capabilities in business analysis, relationship management, and project execution.
Ability to engage in high-level communication with corporate executives, institutional leaders, and key partners.
