Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an established Producer to Co-Produce on an RDMovies project. The Co-Producer will collaborate closely with the lead producer and creative team to oversee project development, refine scripts and pitch materials, and support budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with writers, directors, and key crew members, managing timelines and deliverables, and helping secure financing, partnerships, and distribution opportunities. The role involves supervising production milestones, monitoring risks, and ensuring the project remains aligned with creative and financial objectives. The Co-Producer will also contribute to marketing and festival strategies, maintain clear communication with stakeholders, and uphold professional and ethical standards throughout the production lifecycle.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience as a Producer or Co-Producer on completed film or media projects, with a strong understanding of the full production cycle from development through distribution.
Proficiency in project management for film, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management using contemporary production tools and workflows.
Experience in creative collaboration, including working with writers, directors, and other producers to shape stories, refine scripts, and align creative vision with production realities.
Background in financing and business affairs for film projects, such as assembling funding packages, managing contracts, and supporting negotiations with investors and partners.
Strong communication and remote collaboration skills, including the ability to lead meetings, coordinate across time zones, and maintain clear documentation and reporting.
Familiarity with film marketing, festivals, and distribution strategies, including positioning projects for audiences and industry stakeholders.
Ability to make informed decisions under time constraints, maintain composure under pressure, and take accountability for outcomes.
Relevant education or training in film production, media, business, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory when supported by substantial professional experience.
