Role Description The (Director of Financial Management) is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing all financial planning and management activities for Brown Atlantic General Contractors. This position leads the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and analyzing financial statements, monitoring cash flow, overseeing financial reporting, and providing data-driven recommendations to senior leadership. The role also includes establishing and maintaining internal controls, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and coordinating with external accountants and auditors. The director will collaborate closely with project managers and operations leaders to evaluate project financial performance, manage risks, and support decision-making.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Finance and Financial Planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret key financial documents.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to assess financial performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
Relevant experience in construction, contracting, or project-based industries is beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and spreadsheet tools, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.
