Role Description The Vice President Business Operations is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing and optimizing Acorn’s day-to-day operational activities across investment products and advisory services. This position will manage core business processes, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and ensure operational alignment with strategic objectives. The role includes developing and refining operational workflows, leading program and project execution, and implementing best practices to improve efficiency, risk management, and client service delivery. The Vice President will collaborate closely with leadership, investment, finance, and compliance teams, prepare operational reports and analytics for senior management, and support continuous improvement efforts across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong Business Operations and Operations Management skills, with experience leading complex processes in a financial services or investment advisory environment.
Advanced Analytical Skills, including the ability to interpret financial and operational data, develop insights, and support strategic decision-making.
Proven Program Management experience, including planning, executing, and monitoring cross-functional initiatives and projects.
Solid Finance knowledge, particularly in asset management, hedge funds, fund of funds, or private equity structures and related operational requirements.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including stakeholder management, team coordination, and effective communication with senior executives.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, prioritize multiple assignments, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CAIA, PMP) are beneficial.
Experience with regulatory and compliance considerations for SEC-registered advisors is a plus.
