Role Description The Junior Advocate will support the firm’s legal practice by assisting in case preparation, research, drafting, and court-related activities. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, preparing case notes, drafting pleadings, notices, contracts, and other legal documents, and organizing case files and documentation. The role involves coordinating with clients for information collection, attending client meetings under supervision, and appearing in courts, tribunals, and other legal forums as directed by senior advocates. The Junior Advocate will also assist in reviewing legal documents, tracking case progress, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai.
Qualifications
Strong legal research and analytical abilities, including familiarity with case law, statutes, and legal databases.
Proficiency in drafting legal documents such as pleadings, notices, agreements, affidavits, and written submissions.
Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication in English and Hindi; ability to interact professionally with clients and court officials.
Organizational and time-management skills, including maintaining case files, documentation, and deadlines with attention to detail.
Ability to work under guidance of senior advocates, take initiative, and handle multiple matters in a fast-paced environment.
LL.B. degree from a recognized institution and enrollment with the Bar Council (or eligibility to enroll within a defined period).
Basic understanding of court procedures and litigation practices; prior internship or chamber experience is an advantage.
Commitment to ethical practice, client confidentiality, and continuous professional development.
