Role Description The Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities and supporting accurate, compliant accounting practices. Key tasks include maintaining ledgers, posting journal entries, and ensuring timely recording of all income and expenses. The role involves preparing and reviewing invoices, processing payments, managing accounts receivable and payable, and reconciling bank and vendor statements. The Accountant will assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, supporting audits, and ensuring adherence to local tax and regulatory requirements. The role also includes monitoring budgets, analyzing variances, and collaborating with management to provide clear financial insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, bookkeeping, and ledger management.
Ability to prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel (formulas, pivot tables, financial analysis tools).
Understanding of local taxation, compliance requirements, and basic audit procedures.
Effective organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in an accessible manner.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as Mcom or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, or related industries is beneficial.
Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving financial issues.
