Role Description The Payroll Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Buffalo–Niagara Falls Area. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely pay for team members in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing payroll cycles, maintaining payroll records, handling garnishments and payroll tax filings, and coordinating with HR and finance on employee benefits and compensation changes. The Payroll Manager will also troubleshoot payroll discrepancies, respond to employee inquiries, support audits, and help improve payroll processes and systems to increase efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Payroll Administration and Payroll Management to oversee all aspects of payroll operations.
Candidates should possess skills in Garnishments and Payroll Taxes to ensure accurate withholding, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Employee Benefits to coordinate payroll-related benefit deductions and adjustments.
Proficiency with payroll software systems and HRIS platforms, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail and data integrity.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, interpret regulations, and communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels.
Prior experience in a healthcare or multi-site organization is preferred.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent work experience; professional payroll certification (e.g., CPP or FPC) is a plus.
