Position: Bilingual Arabic STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $38–$42/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 20+ hours/week
Role Responsibilities
Write expert-level prompts in Arabic across specialized scientific topics.
Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
Work independently and asynchronously to improve AI model safety.
Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure the responsible handling of dual-use information.
Qualifications
Must-Have
PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
Native or near-native fluency in Arabic and business-level written English.
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
Based in Saudi Arabia or the wider MENA region.
Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or related fields.
Depth in specific subfields like organic synthesis, molecular biology, or genetics.
Experience with chemical safety, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.
Experience reviewing or grading technical content.
