Company Description DB RRTS Operations India Private Limited, a Special Purpose Vehicle under Deutsche Bahn International Operations GmbH, manages the operation and maintenance of India’s first regional rapid transit system, NaMo Bharat. The RRTS project will connect Delhi, Ghaziabad, and Meerut through an 82.15-kilometer network with 25 stations and two depots, and DB RRTS will operate 40 trains along the Delhi–Meerut corridor while maintaining the rail infrastructure. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Delhi, India. The Electrician will perform day-to-day electrical maintenance and repair tasks across rail infrastructure, stations, depots, and associated facilities to support reliable operations of the NaMo Bharat system. Responsibilities include installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment; identifying faults and performing troubleshooting; and carrying out corrective and preventive maintenance in line with safety and regulatory standards. The role also involves documenting work performed, supporting planned shutdowns and upgrades, coordinating with maintenance and operations teams, and responding to electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime. The Electrician is expected to follow all safety procedures, use appropriate tools and protective equipment, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong practical skills in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
Candidates should possess skills in maintenance & repair, with experience in preventive, corrective, and routine electrical maintenance.
Candidates should possess competencies in troubleshooting, including diagnosing electrical faults and implementing effective solutions in operational environments.
Candidates should possess knowledge of electrical engineering principles relevant to building, infrastructure, or transportation systems.
Formal technical qualification such as ITI/Diploma in Electrical or related field; relevant certifications in electrical safety are an advantage.
Experience in railways, transportation, industrial facilities, or large infrastructure projects is beneficial.
Ability to read electrical drawings, use testing instruments, and work with computerized maintenance systems is preferred.
Strong focus on safety, attention to detail, willingness to work in shifts, and ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
