Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based at MSL’s facility in Satna. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, reviewing, and optimizing mechanical systems and equipment used in pipe and tube manufacturing. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating machine designs, preparing and modifying CAD models and drawings, and supporting installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities. The role also involves coordinating with production, quality, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot equipment issues, improve reliability, and enhance safety and efficiency. The Mechanical Engineer will participate in project planning, support R&D initiatives for process and product improvements, and prepare technical reports and documentation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering fundamentals and applied knowledge of industrial systems and equipment.
Candidates should possess skills in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for creating and reviewing mechanical components and assemblies.
Candidates should possess Project Management abilities for planning, coordinating, and tracking engineering and maintenance activities.
Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills for evaluating new technologies, improving processes, and supporting product enhancements.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Experience in heavy manufacturing, steel, or related industries is an advantage.
Ability to read technical drawings, standards, and equipment manuals; familiarity with relevant codes and safety regulations.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and proficiency with common engineering software tools.
