Role Description As a Python Software Engineer Intern at Webbocket, you will work full time on-site in Khaira, collaborating closely with the engineering team to develop and maintain back-end components for web applications. Your day-to-day tasks will include writing clean and efficient Python code, implementing and testing new features, fixing bugs, and assisting in code reviews. You will help integrate APIs, manage data processing workflows, and contribute to improving performance and reliability of existing services. The role also involves documenting technical work, participating in team discussions, and learning best practices in software design, version control, and deployment. Throughout the internship, you will gain hands-on experience with real projects while receiving guidance from more experienced team members.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software design.
Practical experience with Programming in Python and understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
Knowledge of Back-End Web Development concepts, such as APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
Interest in Software Development practices, including testing, debugging, and version control (e.g., Git).
Ability to learn quickly, follow coding standards, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Good problem-solving skills and clear written and verbal communication.
Familiarity with Linux environments, SQL or NoSQL databases, and basic web technologies is a plus.
