Role Description The Accountant role at Get Interview Confidence is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing and reviewing invoices, processing payments, and managing accounts payable and receivable. Daily tasks include preparing journal entries, reconciling bank statements, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations, generating financial reports for management, and collaborating with internal teams to support business planning and cost control. The accountant will contribute to improving financial processes and providing data-driven insights for decision-making.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and preparation of financial statements.
Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and receivable management, invoicing, and expense tracking.
Candidates should possess skills in bank reconciliation, ledger maintenance, and journal entry posting.
Candidates should possess knowledge of tax regulations, compliance requirements, and statutory reporting.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, or similar) and MS Excel, including basic data analysis.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work with confidential financial information.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and management.
Relevant educational qualification such as a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in a consulting or services environment, is highly beneficial.
