Role Description The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS policies, procedures, and programs that comply with local regulations and company standards. Daily activities include conducting risk assessments, safety inspections, and environmental audits; monitoring occupational health practices; and leading incident and accident investigations to identify root causes and corrective actions. The EHS Manager will design and deliver EHS training programs, support emergency preparedness plans, and collaborate with operations, HR, and leadership teams to embed a strong safety culture. The role also involves maintaining documentation, preparing compliance reports, tracking key safety metrics, and continuously improving EHS performance across the organization.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Health & Safety skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective policies and programs.
Candidates should possess solid Occupational Health knowledge, including risk assessment, workplace ergonomics, and health surveillance practices.
Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root cause analysis, incident reporting, and corrective and preventive action planning.
Candidates should possess Training skills, with experience designing and delivering EHS-related training, workshops, and awareness programs.
Relevant degree or diploma in EHS, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in an EHS management or similar role, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or large office environments.
Knowledge of applicable EHS laws, regulations, and standards, and ability to ensure compliance across operations.
Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and data-driven decision-making.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and promote a safety-first culture.
Professional certifications in EHS or occupational safety (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent) are an advantage.
