Role Description The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Gurugram. This position is responsible for developing and executing the overall HR strategy, aligning people practices with business objectives, and leading HR operations across the organization. Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and updating HR policies, overseeing talent acquisition and workforce planning, managing performance management frameworks, and fostering positive employee relations. The CHRO will guide leadership on organizational development, succession planning, and change management, while ensuring compliance with labor laws and relevant regulations. The role also involves mentoring the HR team, driving employee engagement initiatives, and supporting a culture of inclusion, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Human Resources (HR) operations and strategic HR leadership.
Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing HR Policies in alignment with legal and organizational requirements.
Proven ability in Employee Relations, including conflict resolution, grievance handling, and engagement initiatives.
Expertise in Talent Management, including workforce planning, employer branding, succession planning, and leadership development.
Demonstrated experience in Performance Management, including goal setting, appraisal processes, and feedback systems.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Significant experience (preferably 10+ years) in senior HR leadership roles, ideally within construction, infrastructure, or related industries.
Knowledge of Indian labor laws, compliance requirements, and industry-specific HR practices.
Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at executive and board levels.
Proficiency in HR information systems and data-driven decision-making, with a focus on HR analytics.
