Role Description The Financial Controller at DNA is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Petersburg, FL. This role oversees day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, month-end and year-end close, and preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. The Financial Controller will manage budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and support strategic decision-making through financial analysis and reporting. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, internal controls, and tax regulations, as well as coordinating with external auditors and advisors. The role will also involve leading and mentoring the finance and accounting team, improving financial systems and processes, and partnering with operations and leadership to support business performance and growth.
Qualifications
Strong Accounting foundation with hands-on experience in general ledger management and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
Solid Finance background with the ability to support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to leadership.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Several years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including prior experience in a controller or similar leadership role.
Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills; experience in manufacturing environments is a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
