Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a WordPress Developer. The WordPress Developer will build, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including theme and plugin configuration, custom templates, and performance optimization. Daily tasks include translating design concepts into responsive pages, implementing front-end and back-end functionality, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring cross-browser compatibility. The role also involves collaborating with designers and other developers, maintaining security best practices, and optimizing sites for accessibility and search engines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing multiple projects, and communicating clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Front-End Development skills, including responsive web design and web design best practices.
Candidates should possess solid Back-End Web Development skills for WordPress, including custom theme and plugin development.
Candidates should possess Web Development skills covering the full lifecycle, from requirements and implementation to testing and deployment.
Proficiency with WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with modern build tools and frameworks is beneficial.
Experience with website performance optimization, SEO fundamentals, and web accessibility standards.
Ability to work remotely with strong time management, documentation, and communication skills.
Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and collaborative workflows; experience with staging and deployment pipelines is a plus.
Relevant education or certifications in computer science, web development, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience.
