Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Ahmedabad. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial accounting, including bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and maintenance of accurate financial records. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and assisting in monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves supporting statutory compliance, coordinating with internal and external auditors, preparing basic financial reports and MIS, and ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams such as procurement and operations to ensure timely payments, cost tracking, and proper documentation.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in financial accounting, bookkeeping, and general ledger management.
Candidates should possess skills in accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, invoice management, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess skills in basic financial analysis, reporting, and preparation of MIS and supporting documents for audits.
Candidates should possess skills in using accounting software (e.g., Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel, including spreadsheets and basic formulas.
Candidates should possess knowledge of taxation, GST, and statutory compliance relevant to manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and time-management skills.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance, operations, and management teams.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field are preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA Inter, CMA Inter) will be an advantage.
Prior experience as an Accountant in manufacturing or pharmaceutical industries will be considered beneficial.
