Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Medical Transcriptionist role based in Kolkata. The Medical Transcriptionist will listen to and transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals into accurate medical reports, letters, and other documents. Responsibilities include interpreting medical terminology and abbreviations, ensuring proper grammar and format, and maintaining confidentiality of patient information. The role involves reviewing and editing drafts for accuracy, following organizational templates and guidelines, and coordinating with medical staff to clarify unclear dictations. The Medical Transcriptionist will also be expected to manage workload efficiently and meet established turnaround times.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Transcribing and Transcription, with experience in Transcription Services
Solid understanding of Medical Terminology to accurately interpret and document clinical information
Excellent Typing skills with high speed and accuracy
Attention to detail and strong proofreading abilities to ensure error-free medical documents
Working knowledge of medical transcription software and basic computer applications
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and comply with healthcare data privacy standards
Good listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certification or training in medical transcription; prior experience in a healthcare or diagnostic setting is an advantage
