The Role
We are seeking a Network Engineer / Telecommunications Specialist / Telecommunications Engineer to support the planning, management, and continuous improvement of network and telecommunications infrastructure. This part-time remote opportunity is suited to a technically capable professional who can combine hands-on networking knowledge with structured problem-solving, project coordination, and stakeholder communication.
You will contribute to network performance, connectivity initiatives, infrastructure improvements, and telecommunications projects while collaborating remotely with technical and business teams across different functions.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, maintain, and improve network and telecommunications infrastructure.
Monitor network performance, connectivity, availability, and service reliability.
Support the design and implementation of network upgrades and infrastructure projects.
Coordinate technical activities with internal teams, vendors, and external service providers.
Investigate network issues and coordinate effective troubleshooting and resolution.
Review infrastructure requirements and recommend practical technical solutions.
Support telecommunications services, connectivity planning, and related operational activities.
Maintain technical documentation, network records, and project information.
Contribute to network security, reliability, and business continuity initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and support to team members and project stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, Networking, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in networking, telecommunications, or a related technical environment is preferred.
Strong understanding of network infrastructure, connectivity, and telecommunications principles.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN environments, network services, and infrastructure management.
Familiarity with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance analysis.
Proficiency in diagnosing technical issues and developing practical solutions.
Ability to coordinate technical projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills in a remote working environment.
Ability to prioritize multiple technical tasks and manage responsibilities independently.
Strong attention to detail, documentation, and service reliability.
