Role Description
We are looking for a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our faculty. The ideal candidate should be proficient in both vocal and instrumental music and capable of teaching students across various age groups in alignment with the CBSE curriculum. The teacher should inspire a love for music, nurture creativity, and prepare students for performances, competitions, and examinations.
Key Responsibilities
Teach vocal and instrumental music to students across different grades, in accordance with the CBSE curriculum
Develop engaging lesson plans
Train students in singing, rhythm, melody, musical notation, and expression
Lead and manage school choir, orchestra, and music clubs
Prepare students for annual functions, assemblies, competitions, and other events
Utilize modern teaching tools and digital music resources to enhance classroom engagement
Maintain musical instruments and ensure discipline in the music room
Encourage student composition, improvisation, and creative expression
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, or a diploma in Indian or Western music
Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school
Proficiency in vocal and/or instrumental music (e.g., keyboard, guitar, tabla, Harmonium etc.)
Strong knowledge of musical theory, notation, and rhythm
Experience organizing music events, competitions, and school programs
Familiarity with digital music production tools and software
Active participation in inter-school competitions, cultural programs, and choir direction
