Government Officer
Role Description
We are seeking a responsible, organized, and detail-oriented Government Officer to support administrative operations, public services, documentation, and coordination of government-related activities. The role involves handling official correspondence, maintaining accurate records, processing documents, coordinating administrative matters, and ensuring assigned tasks are completed in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include preparing reports, letters, forms, records, presentations, and other official documents. You will assist with reviewing and processing applications, maintaining databases and files, responding to inquiries, coordinating meetings, and communicating with relevant departments, agencies, organizations, and members of the public.
The role also involves supporting the implementation of departmental programs, monitoring administrative processes, following up on pending matters, and providing timely updates to relevant stakeholders. You will be expected to handle information professionally, maintain confidentiality, and ensure that administrative procedures are followed accurately.
You may also assist with research, data collection, policy-related documentation, project coordination, event organization, and other departmental activities. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential for supporting efficient public administration and service delivery.
Qualifications
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, Business Administration, Law, Economics, Management, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good understanding of administrative procedures, documentation, and organizational processes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping and organizational abilities.
Ability to prepare professional reports, correspondence, presentations, and official documents.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with different stakeholders.
Strong time-management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Responsible, disciplined, proactive, and committed to maintaining professional standards.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with departments and teams.
