Company Description Accelerate Growth provides experienced Responsible Manager (RM) support for financial services and credit businesses applying for or operating under an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) or Australian Credit Licence (ACL). We work alongside legal firms and specialist compliance consultants to provide the RM capability required through application, licence grant and ongoing operation. RM’s demonstrate that a licensee has the necessary knowledge, skills and experience to conduct its licensed activities. They are expected to play a genuine and active role in the business, with appropriate involvement in key operational and strategic decisions relevant to the licence.
Role Description
Accelerate Growth is expanding its network of experienced Responsible Managers (RMs) to support international and Australian Fintech businesses establishing and growing their operations in the Australian market.
We are seeking experienced financial-services professionals who can work with our clients on a part-time, contract basis, providing the organisational competence and practical governance oversight required for Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) operations.
We are particularly interested in Responsible Managers with demonstrable expertise in one or more of the following areas:
• Non-Cash Payments (NCP) – including payments, digital wallets and stored-value products
• Foreign Exchange (FX) – including cross-border payments and remittance
• Managed Investment Schemes (MIS)
• Custody / Depository Services
• Other specialist AFSL financial-product or service authorisations
The role involves genuine participation in significant decisions affecting the relevant financial services business, together with compliance and governance oversight, periodic reviews, escalation of material issues and appropriate documentation of RM activities. Accelerate Growth's RM framework provides for monthly compliance/RM reviews, deeper quarterly reviews, annual competence reviews and event-driven involvement where significant regulatory or business changes occur.

Qualifications
Candidates should have senior, practical financial-services experience relevant to the authorisations they cover and be capable of satisfying the applicable ASIC RG 105 organisational competency requirements.
