Role Description This is a full-time remote Accountant role responsible for managing day-to-day financial activities and ensuring accurate, timely reporting. The Accountant will prepare and review invoices, maintain general ledgers, reconcile bank and account statements, and process accounts payable and receivable. The role includes preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, supporting budgeting and forecasting, and assisting with audits and compliance with relevant accounting standards. The Accountant will collaborate with operations and management to provide financial insights, maintain documentation, and help optimize financial processes and controls.
Qualifications
Strong skills in general accounting, including ledger management, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools.
Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, basic tax concepts, and audit support procedures.
Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a high level of accuracy in financial work.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams.
Ability to organize workload, meet deadlines, and work independently
Experience in shipping, logistics, or related industries is beneficial but not mandatory.
