Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HR Manager role based at Swami Vivekanand University in Sagar. The HR Manager will oversee end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee lifecycle management for academic and non-academic staff. Responsibilities include developing and implementing HR policies, managing performance appraisal systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant labor laws and university regulations. The role involves handling employee relations, grievance resolution, and engagement initiatives to support a positive and inclusive work culture. The HR Manager will also coordinate training and development programs, maintain HR documentation and records, and collaborate with leadership to support workforce planning and organizational development.
Qualifications
Strong skills in HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee lifecycle processes.
Experience in policy development, HR compliance, and knowledge of labor laws and statutory requirements in the education sector or similar organizations.
Proficiency in HR documentation, HRIS or HR software tools, and basic data analysis for HR reporting and decision-making.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Proven ability to design and implement training, development, and employee engagement initiatives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Prior experience as an HR Manager or in a senior HR role, preferably in a university or educational institution.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to confidentiality and ethical practice.
