Role Description The Computer Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging computer science lessons to senior secondary learners in alignment with the school’s curriculum. Day-to-day tasks include preparing lesson plans, teaching theoretical and practical computer science concepts, assessing learner progress through assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves collaborating with other educators on curriculum development, integrating mathematics where relevant, and supporting learners in developing problem-solving and computational thinking skills. The teacher will also participate in school meetings, parent interactions, and academic activities to contribute to the overall academic environment. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Tinsukia.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Computer Science and related concepts, with the ability to teach foundational and advanced topics clearly.
Experience or training in Computer Science Education, including classroom instruction and learner assessment.
Skill in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development to design structured, outcome-focused learning experiences.
Proficiency in Mathematics sufficient to support teaching of algorithmic thinking and logical reasoning where required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a closely related field.
Effective classroom management, communication, and interpersonal skills to work with diverse learners and colleagues.
Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching and learner engagement.
Prior teaching experience at the senior secondary level or equivalent is preferred.
