Senior Financial Acountant

Role Description The Senior Financial Accountant at African Medical Review will oversee the preparation, review, and analysis of financial statements to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making. This part-time hybrid role is based in Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations, and maintaining accurate general ledger records. The Senior Financial Accountant will prepare detailed financial reports, support budgeting and forecasting processes, and provide variance and trend analyses to leadership. The role also involves optimizing the use of accounting software, improving financial controls, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders (including auditors), and contributing to process improvements in finance operations.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Finance and Financial Reporting, with the ability to prepare, review, and interpret complex financial data.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Advanced Analytical Skills for variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and data-driven recommendations.
Hands-on experience with modern Accounting Software and related financial systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) is an advantage.
Solid knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements in the United Arab Emirates or similar jurisdictions.
Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time setting.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in healthcare or related sectors is beneficial but not required.
