Role Description The Associate Professor will design and deliver high-quality instruction in IT and related disciplines, including preparing course materials, lectures, labs, and assessments aligned with industry standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring and advising learners, supporting practical training projects, supervising applied research or capstone work, and maintaining accurate records of student progress. The role involves collaborating with colleagues to update curricula, integrate current technologies and best practices, and contribute to academic and institutional initiatives. The Associate Professor will also engage in professional development, participate in committees, and help strengthen partnerships between A Teknon Solutions and industry stakeholders. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Hyderabad, with a mix of on-site teaching and limited work-from-home responsibilities as appropriate.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in one or more IT domains (such as software development, networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, or cloud technologies) and the ability to translate complex concepts into accessible learning experiences.
Demonstrated skills in curriculum design, instructional planning, and assessment, with experience developing course materials, labs, and projects that reflect current industry practices.
Proficiency in classroom and online teaching methods, including the use of learning management systems, digital collaboration tools, and interactive instructional techniques.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support diverse learners and foster an inclusive, respectful academic environment.
Experience mentoring or advising students or early-career professionals, with a focus on practical skill development, career readiness, and ethical professional behavior.
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field; a doctoral degree and prior teaching experience are preferred.
Evidence of ongoing professional development or scholarly engagement, such as certifications, industry projects, publications, or participation in conferences and workshops.
Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, contribute to institutional initiatives, and balance teaching, administrative, and service responsibilities in a hybrid work setting.
